This section allows you to personalize your HelpSTAR. Among these options are to change your current password, modify window colors, or select color options for your Windows Client.
Avatar: Set an image in your user options. This avatar will appear by any of the updates made to service requests in HelpSTAR. This file size must be less than 20 KB.
Allow Multiple Windows: Enable/Disable the ability to have multiple windows open at one time. If this option is disabled, you will only be able to open one window for each for the following functions:
New Request
Detailed Update
View Request Details
Spell Check: Enable/disable automatic spell checking of service requests and best solutions. There are 2 types of Spell Check options available
As-you-type Spell Checking
As-you-save Spell Checking
Loading HelpSTAR: Select the default Help Desk Window when logging into HelpSTAR, select whether you would like to bypass the Active Directory login screen and select the Single Window MDI version.
Auto Refresh Request List Options: Select whether new requests in a request listing should be highlighted by the priority colors set on the colors tab.
My Default Queue Folder: Specify the location which new requests created by you will be placed.
My Default Service Folder: Specify the queue folder a request will move to when you take ownership of a request that is not in a folder on which you do not have the Support Rep role.
Set colors options for the following:

HelpSTAR Login Password: Change your HelpSTAR password.
Encryption Passphrase/Settings: Create or change your encryption/decryption Passphrase. Change the interval for the length of time your Passphrase will be remembered. Set encryption default for attachments.
Pop Up: A message box will appear on the screen indicating that you have received a new communication. This message will also appear upon logging into HelpSTAR if any communications have not yet been viewed.
Status Bar: A flashing indicator appears on the status bar on the bottom of the HelpSTAR Home page when the communication is received.
System Tray: A HelpSTAR logo will appear within the Windows System Tray when the communication is received.
Desktop Alert: A small pop up appears just above the Window System Tray when the communication is received.
My Email Account: Configure your email account so you can email service request details and check emails in your inbox.
Email Signature: Configure your email signature. Once this is configured and you send an email, your signature will be automatically inserted into the email.
Email Inbox: Configure options for using Email Inbox. Five options available are:
Select whether you would like to allow other Support Reps the ability check your emails.
Display notification messages when new emails arrive.
Have your email inbox automatically look for new emails arriving in your inbox.
Select a default setting for permanent deletion of emails processed into HelpSTAR.
Select the maximum number of emails that should be pulled into Email Inbox. Note: a value entered here will pull the latest emails in your inbox.
Updates Via Email: Select whether you would like to receive your entire request history or the current memo when receiving emails on requests you are the requester of.
My Text Messaging Settings: Enable/disable text messaging and enter your email address.
Text Messaging Events: Select the events that will send request updates to your mobile phone via email.
Export from HelpSTAR > Outlook: Select whether HelpSTAR Calendar Appointments should be exported to your Outlook Calendar.
Export from Outlook > HelpSTAR: Select whether Outlook Calendar Appointments should be exported to your HelpSTAR Calendar. Also, select which Outlook calendars to export from.
Service Request: This section allows you to define three parameters for handling service requests:
Select whether you want to the Find a User window to auto launch when opening a new request.
Set the default for your memos to 'Private'.
Select the default request type for a New Request.
Default Font Settings for Memo: This section allows you to set default font settings for memos inserted into Service Requests:
Font Name
Font Size
Font Color
Bold/Italic/Underline
Printing: Set a pop-up to appear prompting you to print a request once it has been submitted or updated and set HelpSTAR to print to your default printer.
Purchase Orders: When saving a purchase order, select if you want to be prompted to print the purchase order, prompted to Email the purchase order, or forego prompts entirely.
In Office/Off Site: Set refresh rates for various areas of HelpSTAR performance. These rates can be set based on whether the Windows client is Onsite or Offsite.
Network Settings: Set the maximum amount of hops and/or network response time before a Windows client is considered “Offsite”
